Two things on this page are not mine to give away:

Privacy

This site sets no cookies, loads nothing from third parties and counts nothing in your browser. No analytics scripts, no tracking pixels, no embedded video or maps. The typeface is served from here rather than from a font service that would see your address along the way. There is no form anywhere on the site.

What is left is unavoidable. Every request leaves a line in the web server’s log: address, time, page, browser. It is kept for running the site and keeping it secure, and it stays with the host. Aggregate access statistics can be derived from those logs as part of the hosting: page views, referring addresses, rough origin, as totals rather than as people. Nothing further is done with them. They are not combined with anything else, not passed on, and not used to recognise you from one visit to the next. Hosting is Infomaniak Network SA in Geneva, on servers in Switzerland.

Your browser remembers one thing locally: whether you chose the light or dark version. You chose it, it never leaves your device, and clearing site data removes it.

Mail is different. Email to gassert.ch runs through Google Workspace, so a message to me is processed on infrastructure outside Switzerland, under Google’s terms. If that matters for what you want to write, use the Signal link in the footer instead. Those messages are end-to-end encrypted and sit on our two devices, not on a mail server.

You may ask at any time what data about you I hold, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. That holds under the Swiss Data Protection Act. Where the European GDPR applies, the corresponding rights hold as well. An email is enough.
